2025: 01/12:Introduction to Fusing: Dichroic Jewelry! Sunday 1:30-4pm

We will take a dive into the many possibilities of wearable glass art! Learn about kilns and temperatures as you cut and layer glass that will be fired to become one-of-a-kind fused glass jewelry. Students will learn a variety of techniques including creating a hole in pendants to hang, as well as the use of bails. We will discuss terms and temperatures and volume control. Students will have a selection of dichroic glass and a variety of beautiful colors to create their jewelry. Expect to make 5-10 pieces of jewelry in class. No experience necessary. Materials included. We will take a deep dive into the many possibilities of wearable glass art! We will have an extended discussion & hands-on creation with topics including: Pattern bars, fiber inclusions, casting cabochons, decals, fire polishing & beveling, findings & assembly, temperatures & firing. You will create 10-20 pieces.
