03/03-03/05:“Multi-Layered Stained Glass 3 Day Intensive:Plating and Printmaking” w/Joseph Cavalier

We are so excited to have Joseph Cavalieri return from NYC for an intermediate session of stained glass-meets printmaking meets fusing! Perfect for students who are familiar with working with stained glass who want to make a more elaborate multi-layered stained glass panel with custom imagery kiln-fired on. Joseph will help direct you to design and make a 10-by-10 inch finished work, plated with multiple layers of glass. Techniques include airbrushing, painting, pen and-ink drawing, and silk-screen printing using existing screens the instructor will bring. You don’t need to be an expert painter, we will be tracing images in class in addition to using stencils and screens. After the glass is painted and fired, we layer and solder it together. Framing, lighting will be discussed in class, with samples. (note the glass is layered not fused)

Cancellation Policy: DO NOT come to class if you are sick or have been in contact with a covid-positive person in the last 14 days. We are excited to offer more spaces in the studio, with a class limit extended to 8 people. Cancellations must be received 7 or more days in advance, for store credit or transfer to another class. No refunds. Offering 50% credit until 24 hours before the class unless we can fill your space. Less than 24 hours notice, no credit. Thank you for understanding. All Students must wear closed toed shoes in the studio.
