2/27-3/01:(SOLD OUT) “Beyond Stained Glass” Kiln Fired Imagery w/ visiting artist, Joseph Cav

Visiting artist Joseph Cavalieri returns from NYC to our studio in 2025! He will be sharing his signature imagery on stained glass techniques, this time with the focus of unique birds and flowers fused into glass. You will explore Joseph's printmaking tactics applied to glass art. You'll start by choosing an images from the choices of custom screens Joseph will bring, print onto your glass, then create an environment and border surrounding the image. Enamels are painted then kiln-fired onto the surface of the glass, then the glass is soldered together. Techniques learned and used include airbrushing, pen-and-ink drawing, painting, and of course silk screening. Let your imagination soar! Expect to make a 10-by-10 inch finished stained glass panel plus samples. Framing, lighting will be discussed in class.

Cancellation Policy: DO NOT come to class if you are sick or have been in contact with a covid-positive person in the last 14 days. We are excited to offer more spaces in the studio, with a class limit extended to 8 people. Cancellations must be received 7 or more days in advance, for store credit or transfer to another class. No refunds. Offering 50% credit until 24 hours before the class unless we can fill your space. Less than 24 hours notice, no credit. Thank you for understanding.
