Join visiting artist Melanie Walsh for a 4-day intensive course to introduce you to the creative art of Tiffany Stained Glass Lamp Making. In weeks 1+2 you will cut, grind and fit pieces to a 7" Worden mold. You will learn about different methods for building lampshades and patterning techniques. Foiling will be done at home during the week break. Over the second weekend come ready to solder, reinforce and finish! All the tips and tricks for easy construction will be covered, including discussion of finishing and patina. Lamp mold and pattern provided (hummingbird, flower and geometric options available.) Arrive with your glass purchased ahead of time! Base not included, but discounts avaiable in the store . Prerequisite: Intro to stained glass 4 week course (and one intermediate session is recommended)
