6/28:Freeze & Fusing: Glass Succulent Box 2-5pm

In this hands on 3 hour fusing class, students will explore the Freeze & Fuse technique while learning the fundamentals of glass fusing. We’ll cover essential terminology, kiln temperatures, and firing basics, then dive into working with glass powder and how it behaves when mixed with water and how to press it into silicone molds for detailed forms. Students will create their own glass components, which will be placed in our freezer to set before being transferred to the kiln for firing. After firing, these pieces transform into beautifully intricate glass succulents. Assembly discussion will be covered in class. Finished elements will be ready for pickup a few days later, resulting in a unique, sculptural glass artwork to take home. No prior glass experience is required just curiosity and a love of learning something new. Materials included.
