5/27: Intermediate Sg Leading Technique (5 Wk) Saturday Afternoons, 2-4:30pm

You've taken the Beginning Copper Foil Method, and you're ready to tackle the traditional technique of working with lead came! You'll be in the company of other Intermediate stained glass artists, all working on leaded projects. Melinda will walk you through all of the steps, including hammering, fitting channels, puttying, and soldering joints. Stained Glass experience is required (Intro 5 Week)

Take your stained glass knowledge to the next level. Now that you know how to pattern transfer, cut, grind, and solder- you can choose your own adventure in glass! Pick a pattern or project, and take this class receive one-on-one guidance to execute the design of your choice. Some students embark on a journey in the leaded glass technique, and some choose to do a more complicated foil design...some even work in 3D with lamps or boxes. Get the studio and enjoy the expert guidance! Stained glass experience is needed (Intro to 5 Week)

6/11: Soldering Skills (1 Day) Sunday, 11-4pm

Soldering is the foundation of stained glass art, and building good skills is the key to success! This class focuses on creating a perfect solder "bead", as well as introducing fun filigree and decorative techniques to add texture, dimension, and an element of fun. One stained glass class required.

9/16: Building Cutting Skills (1 Day) Saturday, 2-5pm

Glass cutting can be a challenge! But learn to score like a pro with the tips you'll get in this class. We'll discuss the ergonomics, physics, chemistry of glass & it's cutting tools so you'll gain a deeper understanding of why glass behaves the way it does. You'll be able to practice cutting as well and be introduced to new handy accessories that make life a lot easier! Glass cutting experience is needed.
