02/05-02/07 “Imagery on Stained Glass 3 Day Workshop” w/ visiting artist, Joseph Cavalieri 10-4 All

Visiting artist, Joseph Cavalieri will be joining us in the studio from New York to teach his imagery on stained glass techniques. Quickly review the basics of stained glass cutting, copper foiling, and soldering. The focus of the workshop is painting techniques including airbrushing glass (using an atomizer and airbrush machine), “pen and-ink drawing” (using a crowquill pen), silk-screen printing using existing screens the instructor will bring, and painting glass. You don’t need to be an expert painter, we will be tracing images in the class. Enamels are painted then kiln fired onto the surface of the glass, then the glass is soldered together. The choice of imagery is totally up to the students imagination. Expect to make a ten-by-ten finished stained glass panel plus many samples. Framing, lighting will be discussed in class, with samples.

Cancellation Policy: DO NOT come to class if you are sick or have been in contact with a covid-positive person in the last 14 days. We are excited to offer more spaces in the studio, with a class limit extended to 8 people. Cancellations must be received 7 or more days in advance, for store credit or transfer to another class. No refunds. Offering 50% credit until 24 hours before the class unless we can fill your space. Less than 24 hours notice, no credit. Thank you for understanding.
